Policy for Pictures and Media Posts This site is a fan site, a respectful fan site. This means, no paparazzi pictures. Pictures of Julie at public events are just fine, as are pictures fans have taken of meeting Julie, outside a theater after a performance etc
Please only post them in the appropriate forum section.
If the picture is over 130KB in size please post a link out of respect for those with slower connections.
Copyright: Please respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. You should attempt to obtain permission first, or at least credit where the information was sourced from. If you are the copyright holder of any information on this site and would like it removed/credited please contact sara@julie-bowen.org. No infringement of rights is intended.
Links: Linking to other sites are great, but a few exceptions are porn and off-topic. Keep links related to Julie and her career.
Signature Lines: Please try to keep pictures on the small side. Text is much better as it allows for ease of loading. Links to your personal site is allowed. though the links and Not Safe for Work portion of these rules apply to that also.
Not Safe for Work: Some members of the forum like to check posts at their offices during downtime. If you post something that can be deemed not safe for work please put the appropriate warning in your subject line.
Security Vulnerabilities: Please do not post topics or replies containing information which may detail a security vulnerability in this forum. If you believe you have found a hole or other issue, please contact me.
Offensive Posts: Please do not post topics or replies that are indecent, pornographic, vulgar, offensive to certain minority groups, races, or cultures.
Distressing Posts: Please do not post topics that could be personally offensive to an individual to the extent that it causes personal distress to that individual. Such posts will be removed upon request to me by that individual.
Spam: Spam is not tolerated under any circumstance. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. Spam, by definition includes blatant advertisements, posts about money-making-schemes, and multiple posts with identical content ("bombing" or "spamming" or "cross-posting") Because of a problem with people joining this forum to gather member email addresses and use it to link to obvious commercial sites in their profile, we will immediately delete any member we deem to be doing this.
Privacy (forum members): Any post that will attempt to reveal anyone’s personal/private information without their specific consent will be removed, whether or not it is available elsewhere in the public domain. In addition, any post that threatens to reveal personal/private information about any individual will also be removed.
Privacy (Julie Bowen): DO NOT post Paparazzi pictures or any other information that threatens her privacy here whether or not it is available elsewhere in the public domain. Those messages will be removed and the member might get banned.
Uphold the Law: Don't offer to buy, sell or provide copyrighted, illegal copies of Julie's work or post information about illegal downloading.
Back Seat Moderators: Please do not act as a "back seat moderator", By this I mean do not publish your concerns about an individual to the entire group – this only gives the offender unwarranted attention and may antagonize the situation further. If you note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document please bring it to my attention. Members who consistently "act" as moderators may be warned.
